Hello,
While playing Frostpunk in fullscreen I pressed meta+D to peek at the desktop. Then I clicked on the game from the taskbar to maximize it again but I just get a black screen with nothing but my cursor and taskbar showing. It stays like that till I restart the game. This also happens with Persona 5 Royal. Whats going on? Is there a way to fix this?

gaming on linux is hit or miss and plagued by small oddities like this.
if their is a fix it will likely have to be one you come up with or a workaround that you use specifically for this game to avoid this from happening.
at the very least you would need to share more about your systems (go to kde info), how you are running this game (proton, bottles, wine, vm, etc), and if this behavior can be reproduced with any other full screen applications.

I’ve seen that in some games (DOOM 2016 I believe had this) that the game’s video was black once you alt-tab out of it and then back in. You have too look up your game in ProtonDB. For Doom the solution was to enable a certain game option, raw input or something and it just worked…
Overall the Linux gaming experience is pretty good nowadays.
