KDE Kontact, update removed all To-dos, new To-dos do not appear in To-do list

Hello

OpenSuse Tumbleweed recently update Kontact:

I understand that this is the newest stable version, judging from this page: KDE - Experience Freedom!

Before the upadte, i had about 10 To-Dos, after the update, my To-Do list was empty:

When creating a To-Do with a date, the To-Do appears in the calendar:

The To-Do list remains empty as above.

The To-Do list also remains empty when creating a To-Do without a date, like this:

I am using is a calDAV calendar served by selv hosted radicale. I did not update or change radicale.

The calendar is used by a Laptop and Desktop PC, both running Tumbleweed, both updated around the same time and both showing the exact same issue.

I asked in the OpenSuse forums about this: All Todos in KDE Kontact gone after recent update - Applications - openSUSE Forums

I ideas how to solve or troubleshoot this?

I can confirm the same behavior on the latest Opensuse TW, so it’s not something user or account related but caused by an update.

Can confirm here. Same issue. The server is Nextcloud however.

In the meantime, Merkuro is able to display the todo-list.

Thank you @devillemereuil

All tasks, including the trial “test” ones. appeared in Merkuro.

The package description mentioned akodandi and, sure enough, the calendar loaded right away.

Would you be willing to share whether you are using an OS different form openSUSE Tumbleweed? I do wonder if it still could be a Tumbleweed issue or whether it is likely Kontakt (or Korganizer?) holding the issue.

I’m using OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, yes.

Also, yes, Merkuro is based on Akonadi, it’s using exactly the same backend, so it’s a bug from KOrganizer, not Akonadi.

I believe this bug report matches our observations: 504759 – Kontact: existing, non-empty To-Do list not displayed in screen »To-do list«

Indeed, thank you!

The bug has been resolved. After updating Tumbleweed yesterday, I can see all To-Dos in the To-Do pane.
